Snow Day

This has been the coldest week in Dallas I can remember since we've lived here. The lows have been down in the teens and the highs are staying in the 30s. I know those of you in the North think that is quite warm, but we are not equipped for this kind of weather down here. Seriously. If it's below 40 during recess they make the kids play in the gym.
We had a bit of fortune when this cold weather crossed with a storm on Sunday. The result--a very small, very sad snow fall. But my kids thought it was the best thing ever. When James saw the snow he said "Santa! Santa!" (having only seen snow in Christmas movies) and Michael said "It's just like the North Pole!" Poor Texas kids.
