OUCH!

Michael fell on his arm while trying to climb onto his stool last week. We took him to get x-rays and the dr. said he was fine and sent us on our way. It seemed to get better toward the end of the week but he re-injured it on Sunday and it became swollen and painful. Since the swelling was around the elbow the pediatrician recommended that we take him to an Orthopedic Surgeon. Luckily they got us in today as his arm is, in fact, broken. The surgeon said we're quite lucky--since it hasn't been splinted or in a sling this last week--that he didn't mess up the bones and need surgery. As it is he's in a cast from his wrist almost all the way to his shoulder for the next month. We paid extra to get him in a water proof cast so he can still swim and bathe without any problems.
He's still in a bit of pain and now with this big bulky cast he's very uncomfortable. So extra prayers on his behalf would be welcome.
Poor Michael!!

Oh no! I'm glad you got it caught "in time" before it was worse. I remember very clearly what it was like why Tyler broke his leg at 3. M.i.s.e.r.a.b.l.e. But we didn't have a chance to do waterproof, That should take some of the stress off. Still mom, sorry for the extra stress you get to enjoy now. Hope he feels better soon!!!
